We have used several other companies but will not ever again.
We received a bad inspection report for our panel when we were trying to sell our home. Kalahari came in and went over the report. We looked over and signed a moderately priced quote. Then they set off to do the work to tidy up the panel a bit and swap out breakers. Once into it they decide they would rewire the whole thing. They did not charge extra and were still in and out fast. We have used several other companies but will not ever again.

He came out the same day/stayed until midnight to get it fixed.
Excellent customer service is hard to find these days; however, Jan has it down to an art form. I had company in from out of town during the 105 degree days and he came out the same day/stayed until midnight to get it fixed and he was leaving for vacation the next day…not to mention the rates were very reasonable. I will never use another electrician. Jan far exceeded my expectations and that is saying a lot. He even called to follow-up and make sure there were no issues. FIRST CLASS SERVICE!

They are my go-to electricians.
I have used them many times and they are great. Reliable, knowledgeable, courteous and easy to work with. They are my go-to electricians. Always available and always there when you are counting on them.

As the county seat of Cobb County, Marietta stretches from the historic districts around the Marietta Square to newer infill construction across the city, and that mix shapes the electrical projects we see every week. Georgia Power currently offers a $250 rebate for installing a qualifying Level 2 (240-volt) EV charger at home. If you are weighing a charger, a panel upgrade, or a generator, we can explain which incentives may apply and handle the permitting through the City of Marietta on your behalf.

Electrical permits for properties within Marietta city limits are issued by the City of Marietta Building Division, which is part of the Community Development Department. The city operates its own building department and does not rely on Cobb County for residential electrical permits. Applications, plan submissions, and inspection scheduling are managed through the Marietta Accela Citizen Access Portal online.
A licensed and insured electrician is typically required to pull electrical permits in Marietta.
Panel upgrades, new circuit installations, EV charger wiring, and generator hookups all require a City of Marietta permit.
Submit permit applications and track status through the Marietta Accela Citizen Access Portal.
Inspections are scheduled through the same portal after work is completed.

Marietta homeowners call us most often for panel upgrades to 200-amp service, Level 2 EV charger installation, whole-home generators with automatic transfer switches, and partial or full rewiring of older houses. We also install lighting, add outlets and dedicated circuits, provide surge protection, and perform electrical safety inspections. From a historic property near the Marietta Square to a newer infill build, our licensed technicians complete every job safely and to code.
Marietta’s housing spans early 1900s homes near the Square, mid-century neighborhoods along Whitlock Avenue and Powder Springs Road, and newer infill construction. Older homes may still have knob-and-tube or aluminum wiring, ungrounded outlets, and missing GFCI protection in kitchens and bathrooms. Mid-century houses often run on panels too small for modern appliances and EV chargers. If you notice flickering lights, warm outlets, or breakers that trip repeatedly, schedule an electrical safety inspection promptly.

Yes. Electrical permits inside Marietta city limits come from the City of Marietta Building Division, part of the Community Development Department, not from Cobb County. We pull the correct permits for your project, coordinate the inspections, and make sure the finished work meets local code, so the paperwork never lands on you.

Sparking outlets, burning smells, or a sudden loss of power should never wait, so call 678-665-2309 and we will send a technician to your home as quickly as possible. For a downed line or a neighborhood outage, report it to Georgia Power at 1-888-891-0938 first, then call us for any repairs on your side of the meter.
Cost depends on the specifics of your Marietta home and project. Scope matters most, such as a single new circuit versus a whole-house rewire, along with the age and condition of your existing wiring, the panel size or generator capacity specified, permit and inspection requirements from the City of Marietta Building Division, and how accessible the wiring routes are. We provide upfront, itemized pricing before any work begins, and we can point you to programs like the Georgia Power Level 2 EV charger rebate. Call 678-665-2309 to schedule.
Yes. Panel upgrades, new circuit installations, EV charger wiring, and generator hookups all require a permit from the City of Marietta Building Division when the property sits inside city limits. Permits and inspections are managed through the Marietta Accela Citizen Access Portal, and a licensed and insured electrician is typically required to pull them. Kalahari Electrical handles the permit application and coordinates the inspection as part of the job.
Not automatically, but it is worth checking. Homes from the early 1900s near the Marietta Square may contain knob-and-tube or cloth-covered wiring, and some houses from the 1960s and 1970s may have aluminum branch circuits. None of these are an emergency on their own, but they deserve a professional inspection before you add an EV charger, new appliances, or an addition. An electrical safety inspection will tell you whether rewiring or a panel upgrade makes sense.
