Most homeowners want Level 2. Here is the difference:

Level 1 (120V): Plugs into a standard household outlet. Adds roughly 3 to 5 miles of range per hour. Fine as a backup, far too slow as your only charger. A full charge can take more than a day.

Level 2 (240V): The standard for home charging. Adds roughly 20 to 40 miles of range per hour and fully charges most EVs overnight. This is what we install for the vast majority of our customers, and it is the level required to qualify for utility rebates.

A Level 2 charger needs a dedicated 240V circuit, which is the work our licensed electricians handle. We will tell you exactly what your home needs after the load assessment.

You may be able to knock real money off your installation. Two programs to know:

Georgia Power residential rebate. Georgia Power residential customers may be eligible for a rebate of up to $150 toward a qualifying Level 2 charger, or an instant rebate through the Georgia Power Marketplace. To qualify, the charger must be a new, certified Level 2 unit on a dedicated 240V circuit, installed by a licensed electrician. That last part is us. We make sure your install meets the program requirements so your rebate paperwork goes through clean.

Federal 30C tax credit (ended June 30, 2026). The federal EV charger tax credit covered 30% of hardware and installation cost, up to $1,000, for chargers placed in service through June 30, 2026, at homes in qualifying census tracts. It does not apply to a new installation today. If your charger went in on or before that date, ask a tax professional about claiming it on IRS Form 8911.
